Introduction of CCSC
CCS is a specialized international inspection body authorized by international organizations and governments of all countries to provide inspection, certification and technical service to transportation, offshore exploitation, energy, manufacture, service, trade and insurance industries through the provision of technical criteria and standards on ships, offshore facilities and other land-based industrial products. The basic attribute of CCS is risk management. Its on-land inspection and certification businesses are undertaken by CCSC.
CCSC is an organization of legal corporation established in 1992 and duly registered by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce to perform management system certification business and is one of the earliest certification bodies established in China. It is a certification body approved by Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (abbreviated as CNCA) and accredited by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (abbreviated as CNAS) and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (abbreviated as UKAS). Since its reorganization in April 2008, it has completed integration of its 4 major businesses, i.e. system certification, product certification, industrial product inspection and container inspection. Its service scopes range from QMS, EMS, OHSMS and CPC party construction management system certification to product inspection and certification, risk evaluation, enterprise performance evaluation and energy-conservation and emission-reduction certification.
As a technology-intensive and specialized service organization, CCSC has been authorized to carry out system certification, product certification and product inspection in 35 industrial areas such as road transport, machinery dynamics, petro-chemical, pressure vessels, oil pipelines, hoisting equipment, electronic equipment, material engineering and environment protection. Many of its clients are leading enterprises of respective industries involved in many key domestic and overseas large-scale projects.
Relying on the strong technical resources and worldwide service network of CCS, CCSC has set up a service network made up of nearly 20 branches both home and abroad and a specialized certification team of nearly 1000 people reinforced by very experienced specialists. CCSC has shifted the internationalized management policies and inspection modes of CCS from the shipping area into wider economic fields. With a quality policy of “being independent, impartial, honest and non-profit-making”, CCSC is going all out to build a national brand of certification and inspection.
